Went to see of Montreal again.
My trip to Leeds after being pestered by Troy to come see him. I should really get a small portable camera as my phone just doesn’t cut it and there is no way to turn off the clicky sound when you take a picture, so i didn’t take as many as i would have done. Maybe next time…
The whole trip was really good and went to Wagamama’s for the first time and i had:
Chicken Tama Rice
Grilled chicken breast stir-fried with courgettes, mushrooms, red and spring onions in an oyster, ginger, garlic and wine sauce. Served on sticky white rice.
There should be a picture of me looking at it disapprovingly but it was really nice.
of Montreal are amazing and they hardly do any UK tour dates so it was a big thing for me to go to Manchester and see them especially because i hate cities. Sadly i forgot my phone which has a decent camera. But a few people in the audience had decent phones and i managed to get some pictures from some youtube vids of the gig i was at.
Went to the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Night at The Brewery. It was really good and funky. Me, Ian and Laura also managed to shake his hand woo.
Went to see Sam from Niteflights at the strangest gig around. Lost Doll sounds like a good band name, sadly it was more literal than anyone wanted it to be.
Excellent music from Niteflights and a few others who came up on stage, great night all round and even saw Danny Boyle’s car (we think).
We went to The Cat’s Pyjamas Gig in Lancaster. It was on at The Yorkshire House.
Dr Butler’s Hatstand Medicine Band.
Obviously Four Believers.
The Gin Riots.
It was supposed to be a quiet night out. 2am i got in. I was still wobbly the next day. Would do it all again though it was great.
This was a charity gig to raise money for hurricane relief.
Obviously Four Believers
Howard Eliot Payne
Howard Eliot Payne was really good, and it was great to be there with about 20 other people listening to him.
