Only watched it on Netflix about 6 mnths ago but got the Blu-Ray cheap.
Another Rob Reiner film that i never saw until 20 years later, the other was Stand By Me. Although i hadn’t heard of Stand By Me until the 2000’s i do remember seeing the whole “You can’t handle the truth.” trailers for the film back in the early 90’s on ITV.
One of the best courtroom dramas, based on the play of the same name and written by Aaron Sorkin. The only problem i have with the film is the music, it’s really out of place in some scenes and is very 80’s synth. Oddly towards the end it starts to fit the film, a lot of the time it’s used to highlight something that didn’t need highlighting. Also the writing is so good it’s jarring suddenly having music.
